INTRODUCING

MORGAN COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL IEA EQUESTRIAN TEAM

Started in July 2009, the Morgan County Equestrian Team is a dedicated and competitive group of 16 girls who range in level from Beginner walk/ trot/ canter to Open.  The team practices weekly on the wonderful FSF school horses with Coach Kimberly Hezzelwood.  They then compete at Interscholastic Equestrian Association shows against other teams in Zone 4 and across the country.  Riders from other high schools are also invited to participate. The team started successfully by winning their very first IEA point show on September 26, 2009.  Please see the following article for details:

The Team has continued it's winning ways, coming in 3rd and 1st in the other 2 full team shows they attended so far this year.  The team is already qualified for the Regional Finals, to be held on February 28, 2010.  Morgan County has also earned a reputation for bringing great horses to the shows, and our horses have won Best Turned Out horse 3 times!
